TERMS & POLICY

Here at A Civil Affair for those properly dressed, we ship in store items upon availability on Fridays only after receiving your payments. Not including custom made special ordered garments. We will be using UPS, Priority Mail and First Class Parcel Post. Note: Custom orders will be based on material availability and work load at any given time. Each will be addressed on an individual assignment for time.


PAYMENT

We take payment by accepting Master Card, Visa, Discover Card and American Express. Also we accept cash in our store located at 100 Baltimore St. Gettysburg, PA 17325.


HISTORIAL CIVIL WAR REPRODUCTION CLOTHING

We specialize in Historical Civil War Ball Gowns, Tea Bodices, Day Dresses, Camp Skirts, Garibaldi Blouses, and much more reproduction clothing for those properly dressed. Our authentic patterns for our dresses are from the Civil War Era. We our proud to have serviced a number of people interested, such as re-enactors, our work has been used in theater, plays, living history, and even parades. A variety of people looking to have fun while wearing these outstanding reproduction garments.


CUSTOM ORDERS

WELCOME to custom ordering, when making a choice please keep in mind we will be working with you closely to create the dress of your dreams! We make all of our dresses to your specifications. We will need approximately (four to six weeks) from the time we receive your measurements and (Full Deposit Balance). In house ordering of custom clothing is preferred, but orders can be made online provided customer understands that custom orders are non-returnable and non-refundable. Please make sure when ordering a custom garment that you give your exact measurements as garments are specifically made to your measurements only.* If you don't visit our store for fitting you must be willing to take full responsibility for your custom fit.

RETURNS AND REFUNDS

We would hope that there will never be a need to return a purchase that was purchased here at A Civil Affair. Great Customer Service is what we want to reflect here at A Civil Affair. However, no returns will be made until all of the following instructions for returns are implemented. We leave no room for exceptions.

TAGS MUST REMAIN ATTACHED

  1. All items must now show any wear or stains, or be worn in any way.

  2. You must contact the store either by email or phone within twenty four hours of receiving your items to let one of the clerks know that you would like to return the item. Keep in mind that the confirmation delivery will support the time frame that your item was received.

  3. No returns will be made after two days of confirmed delivery if you have not contacted someone at A Civil Affair shop through e-mail or phone within that time.

  4. When shipping back your item or items they must be packed in the condition it was received. This would include packing materials and box.

  5. You must return your items within three days of obtaining confirmed delivery.

  6. Keep in mind while returning items they must be returned to:

VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION

  1. Priority Mail must be insured for full cost with delivery confirmation.

  2. There is no refund on shipping and insurance cost.

  3. A twenty percent charge will be deducted for restocking.
